The mission of the Cooperative Extension Service/Floyd County 4-H Youth Development Program is to provide real-world educational life experiences for the young people in Floyd County. It is through these hands-on practical experiences that 4-H’ers learn the decision-making process. The goal of the 4-H Program is to assist the young people in Floyd County in becoming positive, productive citizens of the community.
It is important that each child grades Preschool-12th grade have the opportunity to participate in a program that has positive youth development. Through our in school clubs, community clubs, camping program and community service projects the Floyd Co. 4-H programs tries to give it’s all to the youth and families of Floyd Co.
We make sure that all our programs are open to everyone and offer activities and programs to different parts of the county.
